Discography
Thanks for checking out my discs! "soli Deo gloria" is my spin on hymns (that sounds so bad, doesn't it?). Seriously, these treasures shaped and molded me in family and corporate worship. They're presented, in order, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Hymnody. The Gospel always begins with the asiety (ah-see-et-ee) of God i.e.-
His self-existence, or power of being). I present this truth with the
first two tracks based on the hundredth psalm. From there the project
moves to the Judgment Day, Christ's sacrifice, the call to repentance,
regeneration, grace applied, and the life knelt before the saving Lord.
"How Beautiful You Are" is an offering of adoration poured out over three days in Chesapeake, VA. We went to Jim Parroco's studio and
just had a blast! The caliber of musicians that I play with in this
band humbles me so much. I am so thankful to God for our deep
brotherhood. Eric Wilson is an incredible drummer, with a heart on
fire for God burning at both ends. Hugh Taylor is a very gifted
songwriter, singer, and guitarist. He is a master-craftsman. Tim
Raynor has a sickness on the bass guitar. The first time Tim played
with us was at a gig. He just showed up, set up, prayed and played.
You know it's right when something like that happens! The black sheep
of the band is Raymond Rodriguez. He's one of those crazy Puerto
Ricans, you never know what he's going to say next! He adds the rich
hand percussion tones to the sound. It's our prayer that the music
would draw you deeper into our Father's heart.
